Track 1 is Brightspark’s full program for students starting in Grade 10, offering a structured path that includes mentorship, academic research, essay prep, and internships. Students build foundational knowledge in Grade 10, complete a research paper in Grade 11, and receive essay coaching and internship placement by summer. Grade 12 is dedicated to application support, with guidance from mentors and Brightspark founders to craft a strong, cohesive admissions profile.
Track 2 is a fast-tracked version of Track 1 for students starting in Grade 11. It offers the same mentorship, research publication, admissions essay coaching, and internship components, condensed into a shorter timeline. Students work closely with their mentor throughout Grade 11 to complete a research paper, prepare essays, and apply to universities by the first semester of Grade 12. The program includes a guaranteed summer internship and optional conference opportunities, delivering the same results as Track 1 with an accelerated pace.

Track 3 is for students beginning in Grade 8 who want a long-term, developmental path with Brightspark. From Grades 8 to 10, they work with tutors to build foundational knowledge, explore interests, and develop an early profile. Afterward, they transition into Track 1’s structure, including research, essay preparation, internships, and conference travel. Starting early allows students to deepen expertise, strengthen their profiles, and fully grow their academic and extracurricular pursuits. Track 3 offers a gradual, comprehensive experience that prepares students for top academic achievement and competitive university admissions.
Track 4 is a focused, essay-only program for students seeking expert guidance in crafting powerful college application essays. In this track, students work directly with Brightspark founders to master the Common App essay process, develop a compelling personal narrative, and refine their writing style. This program is ideal for students with strong academic and extracurricular backgrounds who want specialized support in presenting their stories effectively. Through regular, structured sessions, students complete polished Common App and supplemental essays, ensuring their applications stand out.
Track 5 is for students who wish to gain experience in academic research and publication without participating in the full admissions program. In this track, students are paired with a mentor in their area of interest and engage in a rigorous research project. The program includes all necessary mentorship and guidance, from choosing a topic to conducting research, analyzing findings, and writing a paper. By the end of the year, students submit their work to academic journals, adding a published paper to their portfolio. Track 5 is ideal for students who are passionate about deepening their knowledge in a specific field and achieving a significant academic milestone.
Note: This is a track that has strict starting student profile strength requirements. FullSpark track 1 students go through an intense learning process from grade 10 to end of grade 11 in order to qualify.
Track 6 offers a guaranteed internship placement for students seeking practical, hands-on experience in a professional environment. Brightspark arranges internships with top companies and industry leaders in fields such as technology, finance, engineering, and research. This track is ideal for students aiming to build a strong professional profile and gain industry experience aligned with their career interests. Through their internships, students develop valuable skills, gain real-world exposure, and expand their professional networks, giving them a competitive edge in both college applications and future careers.
Note: Very limited spots, acceptance on a case by case basis conditional on students with an outstanding initial profile. Typically only reserved for track 1 and 2 high school students.
For current university students and recent graduates, this track guarantees placement in either an internship or a full-time position. Candidates are paired with a Spark mentor who is either a hiring manager or directly connected to one, ensuring direct placement opportunities. Students who do not yet meet the qualifications for Track 7 are encouraged to begin with Track 8.
Over a period of 1–2 months, mentors coach students through the full interview process—including resume building, skills assessments, application responses, and applicant account setup—while also creating a personalized career path plan. Students meet with their mentors twice a week throughout the program.
